Nestled near the top of the hill on Main Street at 51st, just south of the Plaza, The Beacon welcomes residents and visitors to one of Kansas City’s most historic and long-standing neighborhoods. The community has been called home by many generations of families who live, work, go to school, attend church and play here.  It is home to many locally-owned businesses passed down from one generation to the next which make up the strong fabric of the community. This too is our story.

The proprietor and founding partners of The Beacon live in the neighborhood.  Many of our children attend the same schools we did decades ago. The Beacon welcomes new and old friends from the neighborhood and all over Kansas City, with the goal of making all our customers feel like family at The Beacon.
